Abstract

The research aims to investigate the didactic dimensions in the teaching practice of university professors with initial formation in Pedagogy and who work in the courses of Pedagogy and Licentiate Degrees of public IES in the State of Piauí, specifically in the discipline Didactics. Due to this purpose, we carried out a quantitative and qualitative study, carried out by means of data collected through a questionnaire made available on the web page. The results allowed us to infer that teachers, at a theoretical level, privilege a multidimensional perspective of education and teaching, although, in most cases, teaching practice contradicts the adoption of such perspective. We consider, in view of this, that there is a tendency to think of Didactics based on its epistemological principles, which promotes critical reflections about the complexity of teaching.
