Abstract

Assuming that the event is not only about what occurs, but how it becomes, in this essay we observe the relation denoted by sharing the experience and make known. We analyze the books Palestinos, os novos judeus (1977) and Entre árabes e judeus: uma reportagem de vida (1991), both written by Helena Salem, reporter of Jornal do Brasil at the time of Yom Kippur War. In the text, with support in a narrative approach we consider the books as a space of reflection on the journalistic practice and knowledge, of elaboration of the critique, formulation of experience and fixing of memory.
